Established in 1962, Cuc Phuong is the very first national park in Vietnam. Located only 120km southwest of Hanoi and nestled between the provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa, Cuc Phuong boasts an engaging cultural and wildlife heritage and enchanting scenery. Magnificent Limestone Mountains rise up majestically from the green rice-terraces and traditional stilt houses of the Muong hill-tribe. Covered in a dense forest, this landscape forms the habitat for some of Asia’s rarest animal and plant species. It is no wonder that researchers, naturalists, enthusiasts and conservationists alike are drawn to this corner of the world.

Trip schedule:

8:00AM: Get picked-up by our easy riders at your Ninh Binh accommodation. If your hotel is outside the city or Tam Coc or Trang An areas, surcharge may be applied.

9:00AM: Arrive at Cuc Phuong. Stop at the Visitor Center where you can learn more about the park from the pictures and models on display; visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center – one of the highlights of a visit to Cuc Phuong, where you can observe some of the rarest primate species in the world, after the EPRC you will continue with a visit to the Turtle Conservation Center where we kept 20 species of turtle and tortoises for rescue and conservation. Afterwards, have lunch in a local restaurant at park headquarters.

1:00PM: Drive 20km to the park center where you begin hiking a 7km loop trail to see the 1000 year old tree. On this trail you will have a chance to discover the secrets of nature. This one day tour will conclude with a visit to the Cave of Prehistoric Man, where human skeletons and stone tools dated to some 7.500 years old have been found.

5:00PM: Trip ends at your hotel.
